Integrated BMS and its impact on building energy efficiency

Biography

Velimir Congradac is an associate professor at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad in the Department of Automation and Control Systems. He has devoted his scientific work to raising the level of energy efficiency in buildings through the implementation of various automation systems. He was a member of a large number of national and European FP7, CIP projects such as Hospilot, TEds4Bee, etc. He is a pioneer in the development of advanced control algorithms for energy savings in residential and public buildings based on artificial intelligence.

In addition to his scientific career, he is the founder of ION Solutions with offices in two countries and more than 1000 automated facilities such as airports, hospitals, hotels, factories, offices and other public buildings.

Prof. Congradac received his B.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering, an M.Sc. degree and Ph.D. degree in Automatic Control from the University of Novi Sad, Serbia, in 1998, 2000, and 2009 respectively.

He has supervised or co-supervised more than 100 diploma theses, authored or co-authored more than 30 papers published in national and international journals, and 50 in conference proceedings and other publications.
