Biography
Ms Zanki graduated from the department of Process Engineering at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture of the University of Zagreb and obtained her BSc degree in 1998. She was awarded the degree of MSc in Technical Sciences in 2002 at the international post graduate studies for “Sustainable Energy Engineering” at the Energy Department of the Royal Institute of Technology (KHT) in Stockholm, Sweden. Ms Zanki successfully completed her PhD studies at KTH in 2006 with the thesis on energy efficiency and energy management in the hotel sector. She completed a number of the professional trainings and courses. From 1998 to 2007 Ms Zanki was a Junior Research Assistant at the Institute for thermodynamics, thermal and process engineering, while from 2006 to 2012, Ms Zanki was employed in UNDP, firstly as a National Consultant for HVAC systems and later as a Project Manager for the Government Programme “Bringing your House in Order” that was implemented under national Programme “Removing barriers for energy efficiency in Croatia”. From May 2012 to April 2019 she was Managing Director of HEP ESCO ltd. Currently she is Assistant Director at HEP ESCO ltd. Ms Zanki wrote a number of scientific and professional articles and papers and participated as an editor and author in six publications (books, manuals and brochures) in the area of energy efficiency and energy management. Since 2016 she has been elected as a lecturer at Zagreb Polytechnics in major Energy management. Ms Zanki is Vice President of the Board of Croatia Green Building Council from 2015. Ms Zanki received a number of respectable awards and recognitions and was given number of invited speeches at international and national conferences and workshops. She devoted her carrier to development and implementation of efficient, green and smart innovative technologies, services and methods that contribute to sustainable development and environmental protection, particularly in the field of energy efficiency and energy management.
